In The Caligula Effect 2 a virtuadoll named Regret has created the world of Redo in order to save people from their past regrets by unknowingly imprisoning them in a simulation. However, this "paradise" is shaken to the core when a virtual idol named X breaks into Regret's virtual reality and restores a high school student's memories of the real world. In order to escape Redo, they re-establish the Go-Home Club, a resistance group that seeks to fight against Regret and her enforcers, the Obbligato Musicians.

🎮 kind of a hard one to rate... on one hand i feel like my experience with this game was damped by skipping the first one (which is my fault, not tce2's), but on the other hand i found the engame to be extremely underwhelming. the ending itself is fine, but the confrontation with regret just left me tilting my head in confusion.
all of that aside i love this cast dearly and i'm always endeared by janky games so i still came out enjoying this and would rec it to other people at the end of the day! i do really like caligula2 despite it falling a bit short for me at the end.
