Enjoying Hades II?
When starting I immediately thought that the game was less smooth and satisfying then Hades. The addition of hold moves felt like it broke the rhythm the first game had. However, as I have played the game more I have come to appreciate the new combat.
The story is worse than the first game, but the amount of content is somehow even larger. I wouldn't say one is necessarily better than the other. Each has their pros and cons.
In terms of systems/progression, many of the changes seem somewhat superficial. Some of the chamber rewards in the first game got replaced with interactable objects in chambers. However, I still think they provide a little bit of depth. I do like the new alter/tarot card system that replaced darkness. It provides more choices and strategy while still proving somewhat linear progression.
