007 First Light is a thrilling espionage action-adventure game from IO Interactive. Players follow James Bond as a young, resourceful, and sometimes reckless recruit in MI6's training program and discover an origin story of the world's most famous spy.
During a retrieval operation in Iceland, trainee aircrewman James Bond becomes the sole survivor after both helicopters are shot down. His defiant rescue of captive scientists catches the attention of MI6, and he is recruited into the revitalized 00 program. After months of training, Bond's team is ambushed by a rogue agent's assassins in Slovakia, killing and wounding several recruits. Bond's investigation uncovers a conspiracy involving Sir Nicholas Webb, an AI pioneer whose quantum supercomputer THEIA has been making fatal errors that Webb is covering up through terrorism. When Webb leverages stolen MI6 data for immunity, Bond goes rogue, teaming with thief Isola Vale to infiltrate Webb's Antarctic base and destroy his replacement AI, HYPERION. After a final confrontation with Webb's son Damien in the tunnels beneath MI6, Bond earns his 00 status and designates himself 007, vowing to track down Isola and recover the stolen THEIA core.

while the James Bond movie license has been struggling to find a new 007 for the past 6 years, IO Interactive offers us a fresh new vision of the character.
as a big James Bond fan, i was hyped for this game mainly for the story, and it did not disappoint!
Patrick Gibson plays it well and it's fun to see a younger James Bond, learning to be a secret agent.
made me think of Kingsman from time to time.
i won't say more about the story cause i don't wanna spoil, but it had everything you'd expect from a James Bond movie.
the casting is a bit of a waste tho, since the bigger names (Lenny Kravitz and Gemma Chan) only play smaller roles.
the gameplay is fun, pretty classic of a linear action game, but still fun.
it's very cinematic, especially the fights that are way cooler than i thought.
i think the infiltrations can be pretty stupid sometimes but they're still great.
the music is awesome, i played the opening on repeat for the past month. and i'm waiting for the full ost to be released.
reeeeaally looking forward to what comes next!!
Hitman, uncharted and watchdogs wrapped into one of the best bond stories. Easily the best bond game (and my first ever console was an N64 bundled with Goldeneye).
Not a five because the melee is a tiny but clunky, and some puzzles were a little arbitrarily solved.
Get this game, it’s amazing. I hope itit becomes a series.
